Paid Parking Zones in Prague
Since 1996, new parking zones have been being progressively established. Blue zones are intended for residents with a long-term parking card, orange and green zones are intended for short-term parking for visitors. Payments for parking in orange and green zones are made through parking machines. Parking in the orange zone is limited to 2 hours, parking in the green zone is limited to 6 hours.
The system has been implemented in the following districts:
Prague 1, right bank of the river: April 29, 1996
Prague 1, left bank if the river (Malá Strana and Hradčany): November 1, 2007
Prague 2: blue zones since November 1 2007, orange and green zones since December 19, 2007
Prague 3: blue zones since February 18 2008, orange zones since April 1, 2008
Prague 7: blue zones since April 1, 2008
The system also involves a part of Radotín and peripheral parts of Prague 16 (Sídliště and Vrážská streets)
